Catch DC leaks before they damage your hull.

Purpose-built for aluminium boats, HullSentry watches your DC system, keeps the measurement history, alerts you automatically, and helps you pinpoint the circuit at fault.

  • Automatic self-tests
  • Remote notifications
  • Designed and assembled in France

From the first warning to the circuit at fault.

HullSentry measures the insulation resistance between each battery terminal and the hull. It scans up to four battery banks, shows their status at the panel, and keeps the readings so you can see what changed and when.

01

Fit it and forget it

HullSentry checks your insulation every 10 minutes by default, records the results and updates the status lights.

If a problem appears, it can sound the buzzer, send an email over Wi-Fi and activate an external alarm through its relay output.

02

Catch problems as they appear

If a wiring change brings a circuit into contact with the hull, the next scan can reveal it. If a terminal slowly corrodes in bilge water, follow the developing trend from 2 MΩ.

Compare the measurement history with shore-power use, solar charging or heavy rain to help understand when a leak started.

03

Track down the faulty circuit faster

Start a live test from the front panel, then follow the resistance in ohms as you check the wiring. Sound feedback helps you notice changes while you work away from the display.

Live testing is for attended troubleshooting. After one hour, HullSentry automatically returns to periodic scanning.

View the readings for each battery bank, follow insulation trends over time and download your data as a CSV file. The web portal is available in English and French.

  • Low test current

Less than 2 mA, applied only during measurements.

  • Built-in checks

Self-test and self-calibration check the instrument's operation and raise an alarm if a fault is detected.

  • Your data, within reach

Consult the history remotely, receive email alerts over Wi-Fi and export your readings as CSV.

Built for life aboard.

Clear readings, labelled controls and mechanical buttons. Available in English and French, from the frontplate to the web portal.

  1. Frontplate

Available with English or French lettering, to match your installation.

  2. Frontplate gasket

An EPDM gasket seated in a recess between the frontplate and the enclosure.

  3. LCD and mechanical buttons

A 20×4 display and seven mechanical controls: Mute, Scan now, Debug and four navigation keys.

  4. Optional 4G board

A separate modem board provides the hardware for cellular connectivity, with an external antenna connection at the rear.

  5. Measurement, power and contact input

Measures both poles of up to four battery banks against the hull. This board also carries the 5 V contact-loop supply, optocoupler and digital input conditioning for a float switch or relay contact.

  6. Enclosure and rear connections

Pluggable terminal blocks bring together power, the hull connection, additional battery banks and the external alarm contact. A digital input with a 5 V sensing loop accepts a high-water float switch or another dry contact or compatible NPN open-collector sensor. It requires external power to the unit.

Quick install

Connect bank A and hull SENSE. Banks B–D, hull TEST, the external alarm and the digital sensor input are optional. Connect a dry contact or compatible NPN open-collector sensor between SENSOR IN and SENSOR COM, the DC supply negative. The unit provides the 5 V loop. Do not apply external voltage. External unit power is required; the sensor input is inactive on USB alone.

NPN outputs must sink 10 mA with a voltage drop ≤0.2 V and off-state leakage ≤100 µA. An off-state voltage rating of at least 30 V is recommended.
